This page is a collection of learning resources suitable for your Year 2 pupils. This can be accessed by parents in the event of a school closure or if pupils are off school with mild coronavirus symptoms. The page includes English and Maths resources and links to websites which can help support home learning.
If you have any questions relating to the learning, please use the Year 2 email address below to contact the Year 2 teachers directly. Where possible, the answers will be put on the website for you to mark the majority of the work at home. If you would like some feedback on a piece of writing, please photograph or scan this and send it to the year group email address.
The RSPB Schools’ Wild Challenge is a free award scheme that encourages pupils to be adventurous and enjoy the benefits of outdoor learning – from developing practical skills, to reducing stress and enhancing mental wellbeing. Activities can be adapted to suit different needs and completed in a school playground, garden or even during a walk in the park!

Our school theme for the next week will be based around ‘Oceans’ with EYFS and KS1 looking at minibeasts in particular, and all year groups will have English and Topic tasks based around this theme. To enable more siblings to work together, EYFS and KS1 English and Topic tasks will be the same, as will LKS2 and UKS2’s tasks. However, each Year group planner will still have year group based maths tasks to enable the maths learning to continue. Those families who have children across KS1 and KS2, please feel free to go with what your family would like and choose one planner’s English and Topic activities to focus on if your children want to work together! The teachers are, as always, looking forward to seeing the work that is sent through to them so please do continue to do this!
